A brush fire known as the Bethany fire broke out in Burbank on Tuesday, leading to emergency evacuations in surrounding neighborhoods. The fire was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m. and had expanded to between 8 and 10 acres by 4:30 p.m. Over 100 homes above Bel Aire Drive and west of Walnut Avenue were evacuated, with additional warnings for areas north of Kenneth Boulevard.
