Sinners is being re-screened in 70mm at the nearly century-old Grand Lake Theater ahead of the Academy Awards after receiving 16 nominations, including Ryan Coogler for Best Director. The calendar lists local events including the OMCA White Elephant Sale and Fresh Jamz 18th anniversary happy hour. Fresh Jamz was launched almost two decades ago by DJs Odiaka Gonzalez and Peter Delgado Van Tassel to bring joy and music during economic hardship. An Oakland Wiki edit-a-thon will take place at the Main Library, and Manifest and Mingle offers community networking opportunities. Candle maker Abby Phung will lead candle-making and vision-board building with career development coach Dr. Janine Lee; tickets include supplies, refreshments, and a swag bag. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will play at the Fox.
