Exclusive first look at Berkeley's new Sightglass cafe
"The bright, modern 1700-square-foot cafe will open on the corner of University and Oxford on May 7, and Nosh got an exclusive first look at the space."
"Healy came on as CEO about two and a half years ago, making this her first new location as the head of the company."
"The mission behind this, the community, each one of our cafes is really unique, but there's something that's similar in every cafe, and we're trying to find what those unique pieces are."
Sightglass Coffee will open a new cafe at 2169 University Ave., Berkeley, on May 7. This location is the first in the East Bay and the fifth overall. The cafe spans 1700 square feet and is designed with ample seating and power outlets. CEO Sharon Healy and VP of Marketing Lisa Prange, both East Bay residents, are excited about this expansion. The company aims to create unique cafes while maintaining a consistent mission and community focus as it continues to grow.
