Before the advent of smartphones and the internet, educational experiences were markedly different. Students enjoyed more freedom, such as leaving campus for lunch and participating in fun field trips. Assemblies featuring popular songs brought the school community together regularly. Teachers utilized outdated tools like overhead projectors, and students shared unique moments, like the smell of photocopier ink. These experiences, filled with camaraderie and community spirit, starkly contrast with today's more structured and technology-driven environment.
Field trips to places just for fun or a reward. Now schools just go for some educational purpose.
Being able to leave campus for lunch and return. No locked doors, gates, or fences. Also getting out of school by 2 p.m. with plenty of time to have a job after school to earn money.
Our Public School had an assembly for the whole school every Friday morning. We all sang popular songs and heard school bulletins. It was wonderful.
