Wealdstone unhappy as Hassan plays in Baller League
"We are aware that Sak Hassan, under contract with Wealdstone FC, appeared in this evening's Baller League. The club was not approached for permission for Sak to participate, nor were we made aware of his involvement in advance. We will now be following up with both the Baller League and the player directly."
Wealdstone FC, a National League club, announced that their midfielder Sak Hassan participated in the Baller League without authorization. Hassan, a 24-year-old Somalia international, played for KSI's Prime FC team in Monday's event and scored in a 7-3 victory. Hassan has made 25 appearances for Wealdstone this season since joining from Hashtag United. The club stated they received neither permission request nor advance notice of his involvement. Wealdstone indicated they would follow up with both the Baller League and Hassan directly. The Baller League is a televised six-a-side tournament in its second UK season, featuring former and current professionals, celebrities, and influencers competing in 30-minute matches.
