Activists unveil large Trump protest near his golf resort
Briefly

In a recent protest against US President Donald Trump's environmental policies, Greenpeace activists created a large sand image at Trump Turnberry golf resort. The protest marked the end of Trump's first 100 days in office and criticized his administration's withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement. The image, visible from the air, called for resistance against the billionaire's environmental strategies. Greenpeace collaborated with an arts group to create the portrait, which was ultimately washed away by the tide, symbolizing the fleeting nature of environmental commitments under Trump.
The stunt, timed to coincide with the first 100 days of Trump's second term, highlighted Greenpeace's criticism of the US withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement.
Greenpeace said it worked with an arts organisation to draw in the sand overnight. The image was later washed away by the tide.
Areeba Hamid, co-executive director of Greenpeace UK, said: "During his first 100 days President Trump has been actively undermining environmental regulations, making it essential to resist his policies."
