Water from Air is a mobile device designed to extract potable water directly from the atmosphere using Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs). MOFs are materials known for their high porosity and selective absorption of water molecules. The prototype produces around 6 liters of water daily and operates autonomously in various geographic and socio-economic settings. It is made using 3D printing for efficient production and customized parts, emphasizing mobility and independence from existing water infrastructure. This design aims to provide accessible drinking water solutions in decentralized urban and rural areas.
This mobile device extracts potable water directly from the atmosphere using advanced material technology, addressing the increasing global demand for accessible drinking water.
The prototype functions as a self-contained water production and storage unit, optimized for household use with a daily yield of approximately 6 liters of water.
