
"Eastern Santa Clara Hills, Mountains Of San Benito County And Interior Monterey County Including Pinnacles National Park and Northern Salinas Valley/Hollister Valley and Carmel Valley are included in a weather alert for showers by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 7:45 a.m. The alert is in effect until 8:30 a.m. Residents may experience wind gusts of up to 50 mph. At 7:45 a.m., Doppler radar tracked a shower 9 miles southwest of Ridgemark, or 11 miles east of Salinas, moving northeast at 40 mph, the NWS San Francisco CA said."
"Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. The alert is for Hollister and Ridgemark. The NWS said, Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle."
