Nnamdi Emelifeonwu and Feargus MacDaeid founded Definely to enhance legal contract review for all lawyers, driven by MacDaeid's insights as a blind lawyer. Their AI-based application streamlines document navigation, allowing users to access definitions and clauses effectively. Recently, the company secured $30 million in Series B funding from North American and European investors, building on a previous $7 million Series A. Looking forward, they are developing an AI system called Enhance to further integrate with legal drafting software like Microsoft Word.
"Help me navigate definitions in complex contracts without losing context," Emelifeonwu told TechCrunch.
Definely offers a productivity suite to streamline the legal drafting and review process.
Looking ahead, we're building on these capabilities with an agentic AI system we recently launched called Enhance.
The fundraising process this time around was arduous, but also rewarding.
