Renovation and redevelopment work at Spotify Camp Nou resumed with a partial reopening in November 2025, increasing capacity to over 45,000. The club aims to raise capacity to around 62,000 once the City Council grants the Phase 1C licence. The North Stand is physically complete but remains closed pending access improvements and permits, which have been delayed beyond the planned early-January readiness. Permits for the North Stand and the Supporters' Stand (1957 Stand) are still awaited. The City Council and the mayor are committed to the project, and completion of the stadium and surrounding area is necessary to host the 2029 Champions League final.
