Kanhai Gandhi, an architect from Mumbai, and Hedwig Bouley, a German fashion designer, united their skills in 2018 to address the urgent issue of fashion industry waste. Working under the name Bouley Gandhi, they craft large artworks using upcycled materials, particularly wool and cashmere, to raise awareness about sustainability. With 92 million tons of textile waste produced yearly, their initiative highlights the environmental impact of fast fashion and demonstrates how art can serve as a powerful medium for advocacy and change.
