IKEA has launched its STOCKHOLM 2025 collection at Salone del Mobile, marking 40 years of the line with 96 new pieces that reflect the brand's commitment to quality and affordability. The collection emphasizes natural materials and mid-century influences with a modern twist, drawing inspiration from both urban and rural Swedish landscapes. Collaborating with three Swedish designers, the collection celebrates craftsmanship, utilizing traditional techniques to create aesthetically pleasing and durable products. The goal remains to showcase that high-quality design can be accessible and meaningful, as each item tells a unique story.
“The purpose of the STOCKHOLM collections has always been to prove that high quality doesn't need to come at an intimidating cost,” says Karin Gustavsson, Creative Leader for STOCKHOLM.
Craftsmanship is at the heart of this project, where traditional techniques and hands-on methods have resulted in durable and beautiful design pieces that stand the test of time.
The new patterns represent tasteful design style with clear mid-century influences, fused with the color palette of a vibrant city.
We have worked to create a no-compromise kind of collection where every piece tells a story.
