Kristen Stewart slams Trump's threats against Hollywood & says she'll likely flee the U.S. - LGBTQ Nation
"Reality is breaking completely under Trump,"
"But we should take a page out of his book and create the reality we want to live in."
"Probably not. I can't work freely there. But I don't want to give up completely. I'd like to make movies in Europe and then shove them down the throat of the American people."
"It would have been impossible to do in the States,"
Kristen Stewart will probably not remain in the United States because she cannot work freely there. She completed her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, which was shot in Latvia, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, and released theatrically in December. The U.S. industry makes it difficult for young directors to create new works. She criticized Donald Trump's proposal to impose a 100% tariff on films made outside the U.S., calling the idea terrifying for the film industry. Stewart currently lives in New York City and Los Angeles and recalled Trump's 2012 tweets criticizing her personal life.
