Live Out Your Wuthering Heights Fantasy With a Stay in This Pink-Tinged Rental
"In Emerald Fennel's adaptation of the classic novel by Emily Brontë, when Catherine Earnshaw (Margot Robbie) marries Edgar Linton (Shazad Latif) and moves from her blustery, foreboding home of Wuthering Heights to the technicolor neighboring manor, Thrushcross Grange, he creates a bedroom that is an ode to his new bride. The pinkish walls and carpet look exactly like her skin-complete with veins and moles-and even sweat when she does."
"Airbnb has a whole Wuthering Heights-themed itinerary planned for the lucky guests who will be visiting this Yorkshire home. They'll go horseback riding on the nearby moors à la Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff (parts of the movie were filmed outdoors in nearby Yorkshire Dales National Park) and visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum, which is housed in the former home of sisters Emily, Charlotte, and Anne Brontë."
Emerald Fennel's Wuthering Heights shows Catherine Earnshaw moving from Wuthering Heights to Thrushcross Grange after marrying Edgar Linton. Edgar commissions a bedroom with pinkish walls and carpet designed to mirror Catherine's skin, including veins, moles, and even visible sweat. Production designer Suzie Davies and her team printed real images of Margot Robbie's arm onto fabric panels to achieve the effect. Airbnb recreated the Thrushcross Grange room for a limited stay in Yorkshire. The curated itinerary includes horseback riding on nearby moors, a visit to the Brontë Parsonage Museum, afternoon tea, a candlelit dinner, and listening to Charli XCX's Wuthering Heights album.
