'Star Wars' creator George Lucas finally answers decades-old mystery about Yoda
Briefly

During the 45th anniversary screening of 'The Empire Strikes Back', George Lucas explained that Yoda's backward speech engages viewers’ attention, particularly for younger audiences. He stated that by using an unconventional syntax, the character became memorable and meaningful. Frank Oz, the voice behind Yoda, shared his insights on how he shaped the character's dialogue notably in the film. He emphasized that excellence in performance is about capturing the character's essence, beyond merely mimicking the voice.
