""Bunny (Stark) is a streetwise hustler working a quick job when everything goes sideways - fast. Thrust into a fight for his life, he turns to his best friend Dino (Jacobson) for help. What follows is one wild, sweltering summer day and night in their East Village tenement, as the two scheme with a crew of eccentric neighbors to cover up a dead body. With the NYPD circling, chaos reigns as the clock ticks and the heat rises."
Vertical secured English-speaking world rights for Ben Jacobson's first feature, covering North America, UK/Ireland, Australia/New Zealand, and South Africa. The New York City-shot cast includes Mo Stark, Ben Jacobson, Liza Colby, Tony Drazan, Liz Caribel Sierra, Ajay Naidu, and Henry Czerny. Jacobson, Stark, and Stefan Marolachakis co-wrote the screenplay. Sarah Sarandos serves as lead producer. The plot centers on Bunny and his friend Dino scheming with eccentric neighbors to cover up a dead body over one sweltering East Village day and night. The film earned a SXSW Grand Jury Award nomination and premiered at Tribeca. The distribution deal was negotiated by Jarowey, Tony Piantedosi, and CAA Media Finance.
