Sirat stages a rave in the southern Moroccan desert featuring real, lifelong ravers and a Spiral Tribe DJ, and the production adapted to the ravers' requirement that the music not stop for three days. The narrative follows patriarch Luis, his son Esteban and their dog Pipa as they search for missing daughter Mar amid radio reports of an armed conflict and an army crackdown on the festival. Over almost two hours the search plot recedes and rave culture, with its deeper metaphysical implications, emerges as the film's primary focus.
