Costco recalled Caramel-filled Mini Beignets after some packages were accidentally packaged with chocolate hazelnut. The presence of chocolate hazelnut creates an undeclared tree-nut allergen that could pose serious risk to people with tree-nut allergies. Members who purchased the affected product between January 16 and January 30 can return it for a full refund. The products were sold in more than 20 states, including Illinois. Impacted states include Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Washington. A Costco spokesperson apologized for any inconvenience caused.
