"The Hebrew name Or'esh is focused on light and fire: The menu consists of minimalist dishes with flavors imparted by the custom grill that allows both wood- and coal-fired cooking. Greenberg's approach draws from Mediterranean traditions across Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Israel, Jordan, and Syria. Greenberg says he plans to cook almost exclusively with extra-virgin olive oils he personally sources from the region."
"Coming early 2026, it's the Mediterranean Or'esh in Soho from Eugene Remm, Tilman Fertitta, and Catch Hospitality Group, its most ambitious restaurant yet. The two-story, 75-seat space will open at 450 West Broadway, near Prince Street, with Nadav Greenberg at the helm, the chef who steered Eyal Shani's restaurant and wine bar, Shmoné, toward its Michelin star. "This is nothing like our other restaurants," says Remm, in an exclusive interview with Eater."
Or'esh will open in early 2026 as a two-story, 75-seat Mediterranean restaurant at 450 West Broadway in Soho. The project is led by Eugene Remm, Tilman Fertitta, and Catch Hospitality Group with chef Nadav Greenberg, who previously helped Shmoné earn a Michelin star. The menu centers on minimalist Levantine dishes cooked on a custom wood- and coal-fired grill. Greenberg plans to use regionally sourced extra-virgin olive oils, process whole lamb in-house, prepare meats only on service days, and grill house-made pasta. The concept intentionally departs from the team's prior casual steakhouse model.
