The Fox in Haggerston Is Re-Opening
"If you spent any time in Haggerston over the past seven years, you'll have walked past the shuttered exterior of The Fox, the pub on the corner of Kingsland Road and Middleton Road (and if you were ever in the area before then, you likely had a pint in there). The pub has been closed since the owners converted the upper floors into flats but no buyer was ever found for the ground floor, so it's been lying empty all these years, until now."
"The building has been given a new lease of life - the red exterior is gone and is now dark green - thanks to the same team behind Hoxton boozer Howl at the Moon. The pub has hosted a couple of private events already ahead of its grand opening party on Sat 27th September, and once fully up and running, we can expect weekly events, sports, gigs and more."
The Fox, a corner pub at 372 Kingsland Road and Middleton Road in Haggerston, has been closed since 2018 after owners converted the upper floors into flats and could not find a buyer for the ground floor. The building has been refurbished and repainted dark green by the team behind Howl at the Moon. The venue has already hosted private events and will hold a grand opening party on Sat 27th September 2025. Once operating, the pub will offer weekly events, sports screenings and live gigs. The reopening follows local pub revivals like The Macbeth and provides positive news amid rising pub closures.
