"The Kenyan-based bar, hidden on the rooftop of the four-star Trademark Hotel, is ripped right out of the pages of a comic book. With colorful murals and homages to heroes, both real and fictional, the cocktail menu leans into the theme even further, broken up by "Sensei Sips" to "Sidekicks." It seems the bar is the hero we've all been searching for, as the hidden cocktail lounge was listed on The World's 50 Best Bars annual ranking, coming in at number 68."
""The final iteration of the Legends Series is a significant one," said Linden Pride, principal of Dante. "After hosting five world-renowned bars at Dante over the course of the last eight months, we're thrilled to end our series with an important milestone and exclusively offer a bar residency in NYC from Africa, blending signature hospitality and cocktail creativity that we've both become known for.""
Hero Bar, a rooftop speakeasy at Nairobi's four-star Trademark Hotel, will host a limited pop-up residency at Dante in Greenwich Village through Thursday, October 2. The bar features comic-book-inspired murals and homages to heroes, and the cocktail menu is organized into themed sections from "Sensei Sips" to "Sidekicks." The hidden lounge ranked number 68 on The World's 50 Best Bars annual list. The residency concludes Dante's 110th-anniversary Legends Series, which invited renowned international bars for limited-time takeovers. The pop-up follows a hero's journey across five cocktail chapters, including a butter-washed Plantain Old Fashioned and a berbere-infused Tomatina.
