More summer flights from UK to south-west France
"Jet2 has announced plans to expand operations to Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport, located in south-west France. The airline has already started looking forward to the summer of 2027. They announced this week plans to expand, with two new routes going from the UK to south-west France. In summer 2027 Jet2 will run two routes to Bergerac airport - one from Birmingham and the other from Manchester. The flights will run on Saturdays."
"Ryanair accounts for around 70 percent of Bergerac airport's full-year traffic, Christophe Fauvel, the President of the Dordogne Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), told Franceinfo in July. The budget airline had previously announced it would be pulling out of Bergerac airport during the winter season, a decision that it claimed is due to France's recent increase on the eco solidarity tax on flights, or the taxe sur les billets d'avion (TSBA)."
Jet2 will expand operations to Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport in south-west France by adding two Saturday routes from Birmingham and Manchester in summer 2027. The airline currently has Saturday Leeds Bradford–Bergerac flights on sale for summer 2026. Ryanair accounts for roughly 70% of Bergerac airport's annual traffic but announced a winter withdrawal, citing France's increased eco solidarity tax on flights (TSBA). It is unclear whether Ryanair will restore its full summer 2026 schedule. As of October 2025, one-way Ryanair tickets from London-Stansted to Bergerac were still bookable for Wednesdays and Sundays.
