Imad Omar Qashit fled Syria to Lebanon fourteen years ago but returned due to Israeli missile strikes in Lebanon. Over 227,549 people crossed from Lebanon to Syria, with 95% being Syrians. The death toll from Israeli attacks on Hezbollah is around 2,196. More than 1 million Syrian refugees remain in Lebanon, with many unregistered. Since March, over 270,000 Syrians returned to Syria, but the country is unprepared for their arrival. Upon returning, Qashit found his home destroyed and no available housing in his city.
