More than a dozen explosions struck Beirut on Monday in the most intensive strikes since the 2024 Israel-Hezbollah war. Hezbollah launched missiles and drones toward Israel in retaliation for the killing of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Israeli military leadership stated that Hezbollah opened the campaign and bears full responsibility for escalation. These projectiles marked Hezbollah's first attack since US and Israeli strikes on Iran began.
