11th annual Teal Run set for Sept. 28 at Campbell Park
"Runners in the 11th annual Teal Run 5K and 10K will cross the starting line Sunday, Sept. 28, at 8:30 a.m. at Campbell Park. The fundraiser for ovarian cancer research and support has previously raised more than $500,000. The 5K and 10K courses loop around the Los Gatos Creek Trail, finishing just after the Campbell Bridge. The course is paved and mostly flat, with gentle inclines, and so is appropriate for both beginning and experienced runners."
"Peninsula Symphony opens its 77th season Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Campbell's Heritage Theatre with a program featuring flutist Demarre McGill and conducted by Lara Webber. The program includes Jacques Ibert's Flute Concerto, Prokofiev's "Lieutenant Kijé" Suite, Tchaikovsky's "Francesca da Rimini," "Breathe" by Carlos Simon and "Poem" by Charles Tomlinson Griffes. Tickets are $35-$50 at https://peninsulasymphony.my.salesforce-sites.com/ticket or 408-866-2700. Children and students are admitted free."
"The Friends of Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority are hosting a Pour for Paws fundraiser on Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. at Villa Ragusa in downtown Campbell.
