Your graphics card's so fat, it's got its own gravity alert
Briefly

As GPUs grow larger and heavier, Asus has implemented a built-in sensor in its ROG Astral graphics cards to monitor any positional changes. This feature, called the Equipment Installation Check, utilizes a Bosch IMU to alert users to any sagging, known as Premature GPU Droop Syndrome (PGDS). Given the weight of some modern GPUs exceeding 3 kg, this innovation is crucial as it addresses the potential strain on PCIe slots. The accompanying Asus GPU Tweak utility can notify users of any movements, potentially preventing long-term damage.
Heavy GPUs can put stress on PCIe slots, and while reinforced slots and support brackets can help, they may not be enough to prevent long-term mechanical strain. The Equipment Installation Check feature can warn users if the support bracket slips or loosens over time.
The Equipment Installation Check feature aims to warn users about potential issues with GPU sagging under its weight, commonly referred to as Premature GPU Droop Syndrome (PGDS).
