In Tandil, Argentina, Gregui Pisos y Revestimientos is revolutionizing construction materials by recycling ABS plastics from discarded appliances. This hard plastic, frequently wasted due to poor recycling infrastructure, is shredded and used to create PlastiHormigón, a composite concrete product for building components. The company aims to reduce waste and promote sustainability in construction. Initiated in 2015 by an industry professional, the venture collaborates with UNICEN, the local university, to innovate with recycled materials, initially exploring combinations with styrofoam before focusing on ABS.
