Harvard has initiated collaborations with Ben-Gurion University of the Negev to enhance student opportunities in Israel. Starting spring 2026, Harvard College undergraduate students will have year-round access to study abroad programs earning academic credit. Located in the Negev desert, BGU is dedicated to interdisciplinary studies with a strong focus on social and environmental responsibility. The university offers diverse courses such as archaeology and marine science, and engages in significant research initiatives in areas like climate and desert studies.
