Two events will take place at History Park in San Jose as summer ends. The Santa Clara Valley Model T Ford Club will host its 25th annual Cars in the Park, featuring antique and classic cars made no later than 1949 and an emphasis on race cars built in 1931 or earlier. The event will include music, food, vintage tractors, motorcycles, bicycles, and fire trucks. Dennis Mattish will present on Bay Area auto racing at 1 p.m., and Mike Hennessy will lead a Model T put-together at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available at historysanjose.org. The Art Deco Society of California will present its 40th annual Gatsby Picnic at History Park with period dress, jazz, a Charleston contest, the crowning of Miss Art Deco, vintage cars, and historic trolley rides.
