The set of device protection features is now expanding with new ways to combat financial fraud and better personal data protection in case your device gets stolen. Devices running on Android 16 are getting improved safeguards in case of failed authentication."
"Failed Authentication Lock, which arrives with Android 15, will now get its own toggles in the settings menu for more granular control. The feature locks the device's screen after excessive failed authentication attempts. In addition, Google is expanding Identity Check to cover all features and apps that use the Android Biometric Prompt, including banking apps and Google's native password manager."
