TransUnion signed a definitive agreement to acquire the mobile division of RealNetworks to make mobile communications safer and more reliable. The acquisition will add advanced artificial intelligence, machine learning, and real-time analytics of text, multimedia messages, and phone calls to detect and reduce fraud while improving customer engagement. RealNetworks' KONTXT messaging platform has blocked over eight billion spam and scam messages and protected hundreds of millions of consumers. The mobile division brings telecom relationships, network integration experience, branded call security, and capabilities to detect synthetic and cloned voices, reducing fraud risk for carriers, businesses, and consumers.
