Niko Kovac urged Borussia Dortmund to play to their limits and give 100% to beat Juventus in Turin. Dortmund were beaten finalists in 2023-24 and reached the 2024-25 quarter-finals before elimination by Barcelona. Kovac has overseen an impressive turnaround since January and Dortmund have made an unbeaten start to the Bundesliga. The club have a poor recent away record against Italian sides in the Champions League, losing five of their last six such games. Dortmund have often started Champions League campaigns strongly and scored many late goals last season. Kovac highlighted squad balance, depth and internal competition with no major injury concerns.
