Max Muncy was activated from the injured list after missing nearly five weeks due to a knee bone bruise. He was performing well before the injury, with an OPS of .832, and 13 home runs. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts noted Muncy's return strengthens the lineup. In contrast, Tommy Edman has been placed on the injured list after aggravating his ankle injury. Edman had previously missed time in May for the same issue. The team did not make significant trades, focusing on health for the upcoming postseason.
"He's put in a lot of work to get back with this timeline," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. "Getting him back lengthens and strengthens our lineup."
"Don't know how long it's going to be, but I do think that he'll be back at some point," Roberts said. "The main thing is when he gets back, how we can make sure that this doesn't happen again."
