The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Matt Sauer from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to their game against the San Diego Padres. Sauer, the 2017 second round pick, has been with the team in San Diego before officially being rostered and is expected to pitch. In a corresponding move, the Dodgers designated José Ureña for assignment. Ureña's short stint included three innings with one run allowed. Sauer previously pitched to a 3.05 ERA with the Dodgers and had a solid performance in the minor leagues.
The Dodgers have recalled right-handed relief pitcher Matt Sauer from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of Tuesday's game against the San Diego Padres.
Sauer has made seven appearances and one start since Los Angeles signed him to a minor league contract in January.
