Tommy Edman of the Los Angeles Dodgers has been placed on the injured list due to ankle inflammation after recently tweaking his ankle. Manager Dave Roberts believes Edman will not be out for long, as he has the possibility of returning within ten days. In the meantime, the club has promoted Hyeseong Kim from the Korean Baseball Organization to make his MLB debut. Despite Edman's recent injury, he has made significant contributions to the Dodgers, including an impressive performance in the playoffs.
After tweaking his ankle last week, Edman was moved to the IL with ankle inflammation as the listed ailment.
Roberts said, 'Just the backdate, knowing that it's potentially 10 days to make sure he gets it right.'
Edman took a leap to a new level when he first put on a Dodgers uniform, earning NLCS MVP honors and helping the Dodgers hoist their eighth World Series trophy.
Hopefully, Roberts' assessment of Edman is correct, and the utility star will be back on the diamond soon.
