Dodgers' Will Smith to hold comedy event with Netflix
"Smith's charity Catching Hope - which works to help underprivileged children develop critical skills for leadership, self-advocacy and self-sufficiency - has partnered with Netflix is a Joke since 2024 to hold the annual Dodgers Comedy Night, with this year's installment coming May 7 at 7:00 p.m. PT. Actor and comedian Ken Jeong will host the event, which takes place at The Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. Michelle Buteau, Ryan Hamilton, Sam Jay, Tom Papa, Frankie Quiñones and Derrick Stroup will also feature in the event."
"Smith will play in his eighth MLB season in 2026, and has become one of the most successful catchers in the game over the past few seasons. He had made three consecutive All-Star Games, earning a starting spot in 2025, and received MVP votes for the first time in his career last season. His .901 OPS from last year marked the best he's ever had during a season where he's played more than 100 games, and his .296 batting average shattered his previous record."
