Lakers downgrade LeBron James (elbow) to out vs. Knicks
"James was listed as out due to a left elbow contusion and left foot arthritis. James hurt the elbow after he fell on it while scoring a layup late in Thursday's loss to the Denver Nuggets. He missed the following night's win over the Indiana Pacers with the injury."
"Now in his 23rd NBA season, James is averaging 21.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 7.0 assists in 44 games this season for the Lakers."
LeBron James was downgraded from questionable to out approximately one hour before the Lakers' Sunday matchup against the New York Knicks. The injury stems from a fall on his left elbow while scoring a layup in Thursday's game against the Denver Nuggets. James also missed Friday's game against the Indiana Pacers with the same elbow injury. Additionally, he is dealing with left foot arthritis. Deandre Ayton, the Lakers center, returned to availability after missing the Pacers game with a sore knee. In his 23rd NBA season, James is averaging 21.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 7.0 assists across 44 games this season.
