Deandre Ayton is sidelined with left knee soreness after playing only the first four and a half minutes Thursday. Maxi Kleber will miss his third consecutive game due to a lumbar back strain. Despite these absences in Thursday's game, backup center Jaxson Hayes performed well, scoring 19 points on efficient 8-for-10 shooting with five rebounds. The Pacers enter Friday with the worst Eastern Conference record at 15-47 and have lost seven consecutive games.
