After 17 months of legal battles involving high-priced law firms, Maurer now seeks approval for a 15,000-square-foot barn to maintain the agricultural preserve property. The barn would include office space, equipment storage, a garage, and a caretaker's residence. The city's planning director refused to process the barn plans, which Maurer's son characterizes as harassment.
