Christian group drowned out by people playing Chappell Roan on the kazoo
"Roughly 200 pro-LGBTQ+ protestors arrived at Gas Works Park in Seattle on Saturday, 30 August, armed with hundreds of the buzzy oral instruments in their hands and the tune of Roan's number one hit in their heads. Earlier in the day, Christian activist group Let Us Worship had set up in the park, readying to host an evangelical Christian rally concert dubbed 'Revive in 25'."
"The event was being led by Let Us Worship founder and Christian singer Sean Feucht, who has been noted for his anti-LGBTQ+ remarks and his support for Donald Trump. He previously referred to the LGBTQ+ community as a "mafia" and a "cult bent on perverting and destroying the innocence" of children. Feucht also dubbed Pride month a "demonic agenda" which seeks to "destroy our culture"."
About 200 pro-LGBTQ+ protestors gathered at Gas Works Park in Seattle armed with kazoos and repeatedly played Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club" to overwhelm a nearby evangelical concert. The event was organized by Let Us Worship and led by founder Sean Feucht, who has a record of anti-LGBTQ+ remarks and support for Donald Trump. Feucht has described the LGBTQ+ community using inflammatory language and called Pride month a "demonic agenda." Local activists urged the mayor to revoke the event permit, but the concert proceeded while police maintained order between the groups.
