Their debut collection of poetry, HOOD VACATIONS, won the 2024 Lambda Literary Award for Transgender Poetry. They are also the author of a chapbook, SOFT ARMOR (2023), from Black Lawrence Press."

A free spoken-word variety event will take place Friday, Sept. 19 from 7 PM to 9 PM at Strut, 470 Castro St., San Francisco, CA. Donations to Strut/Magnet are requested and book sales will be handled by Fabulosa Books. Masks will be required in the audience and balcony seating may be used for outdoor seating if weather permits. Performers include Caro de Robertis, Michal 'MJ' Jones, Charlie Jane Anders, Annalee Newitz, Frida Sierra, and Renée Swindle. Michal 'MJ' Jones is an Oakland-based poet whose debut HOOD VACATIONS won the 2024 Lambda Literary Award. Annalee Newitz writes science journalism and science fiction, co-hosts a Hugo-winning podcast, and has a novella due August 2025.
