On June 14, Charli XCX fans and newcomers, including the author, gathered at London’s Victoria Park for the inaugural LIDO Festival. Excitement built from the morning preparations, with fans sporting festival outfits and bonding over Charli's music. Upon entering the festival grounds, attendees enjoyed impressive live performances, beginning with 070 Shake on the Main Stage, whose mesmerizing set created an immersive atmosphere. Following that, The Japanese House energized the crowd further with an engaging performance, highlighting the festival's lively spirit and community vibe.
The moodiness of the song contrasted perfectly with the heat of the sun, making the whole experience completely surreal and almost as if we were in a daydream.
Countless hands were thrown in the air when Sunshine Baby was played, with people swaying as far as the eye could see.
