Work begins on upmarket new Asian restaurant ahead of summer opening
Briefly

HUO, a pan Asian restaurant, is set to open in late June in Belsize Park, filling the gap left by the closure of Caldesi. This will mark the fourth restaurant in the same location in 20 years, which has previously housed establishments like Belsize Tavern and XO. Owners Graham Rebak and Adam Wilkie aim to provide a diverse menu featuring small bites, dim sum, and noodle dishes. The renovation involves significant work on the interior design and installation of a new ventilation system by Colebrooke Construction, with an emphasis on creating excitement in the local dining scene.
HUO's a la carte menu serves fresh Asian food including small bites, dim sum and soups, Thai curries, stir-fried offerings and noodle dishes such as Pad Thai.
Contractor Colebrooke Construction has been at the site refitting the inside and outside of the building. Dominic Harris noted 'there'll be quite a lot of work to do before then.'
The site's recent history has been chequered, changing from Belsize Tavern to various restaurants over the years, now being transformed once again.
