A new Irish pub has opened in east London
"There's no shortage of quality Irish boozers in London - places that have the power to transport you straight to the heart of the Emerald Isle with stout on tap, Celtic tunes playing through the speakers and calls of 'sláinte'. And luckily for peeps in E5, you can add a local stop to Time Out's sprawling crawl of the city's top Irish pubs ."
"A small shamrock on the door is a beacon guiding you into Moyletts, which ticks all the boxes of a stellar pub: plenty of live music and affordable pints. A pint of Guinness is a not-too-shabby £5.50 - and the drinks list doesn't stop at a pint of the black stuff. On tap is a selection of craft beers while glasses of wine start at £6."
Moyletts is a family-run Irish pub in Lower Clapton that opened just before Christmas on the corner of Clarence Road and Downs Road. The pub features a small shamrock on the door, live music, affordable pints including Guinness at £5.50, craft beers on tap and wines from £6. Non-alcoholic options include 0 percent beers and a list of hot teas. Regular supper clubs and chef residencies are planned, and former Kiln chef Gareth Chambers runs an Irish Shpice pop-up serving spice bags from Lunar New Year through St Patrick's Day. The venue hosts DJs, themed music weekends, a Wednesday Chess Club and Six Nations screenings.
