Big Thief has announced their sixth studio album titled Double Infinity, set to release on September 5 via 4AD. This follows their previous album, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You. The album recording included a rotating cast of collaborators and was accomplished live in three weeks at New York's Power Station. Now a trio after bassist Max Oleartchik's departure, the band will commence their North American Somersault Slide 360 Tour post-release. Each member has also pursued solo projects since 2022, contributing to their evolving musical identities.
