Bruce Dickinson has officially announced 'More Balls to Picasso,' a reimagined version of his 1994 solo album 'Balls to Picasso.' This new collection features updated performances and production treatments, along with two previously unreleased live-in-the-studio tracks. Dickinson revisited the album during his work on the back catalog for Dolby Atmos, emphasizing a personal touch to the updates. Collaborations with notable musicians, including orchestral arrangements and indigenous instruments, enhance this fresh take on the original tracks, making it a unique addition to his discography.
Released in 1994 as Bruce's second solo album following his departure from Iron Maiden, Balls to Picasso saw the metal singer in a more alternative hard rocker mode, reflective of the scene at the time.
Dickinson further elaborated on the project, mentioning, 'So putting more balls into 'Balls ...' was a labour of love.' He highlighted the contributions of various musicians that have enriched the new album.
He explained the intricacies of the reimagined album, emphasizing updated performances and mixing, as well as the unique contributions from Brazilian composer Antonio Teoli and the Berklee College of Music.
The new album features a reworked version of 'Gods of War' available for streaming and promises not only nostalgia but an enriched listening experience with enhanced music production.
