Ed Sheeran serenades Fleadh-goers in Wexford pub as his appearance brings parts of town to a standstill

Ed Sheeran performed at the Sky & The Ground pub in Wexford, captivating a packed audience during Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann. Tensions ran high as massive crowds gathered early in the afternoon, fueled by rumors of his appearance. Speculation had earlier suggested he would open the festival at the quay on Sunday, but that rumor proved false. Many locals initially dismissed his pub performance as mere chatter amidst the excitement of the musical celebration enveloping the town.

Mr Ed Sheeran, who belted out a handful of numbers in front of a packed pub on Tuesday as Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann engulfed the town outside.

Massive crowds had gathered on South Main Street early in the afternoon amid rumours that Sheeran would be popping up and might even play a song or two.

With a rumour that he would be opening Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann at the gig rig on the quay on Sunday falling flat, many dismissed his Sky & The Ground appearance as more idle chatter.
