"Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club is a London music institution, having hosted the finest jazz, blues and soul artists in the world for the past 65 years. Now the club is undergoing its most significant transformation in 20 years, with the opening of the 140-capacity Upstairs at Ronnie's. The first floor area of the club has been used to host live music before but it's now being turned into a purpose-designed auditorium, complete with new interior, improved acoustics,"
"Just like the downstairs club, Upstairs at Ronnie's will stage performances from jazz and genre-crossing musicians and host a new version of the Ronnie Scott's Late Late Show, featuring emerging talent and accessible ticket prices. The new space is opening in February 2026, with a programme including Ashley Henry, Reuben James, Charlie Stacey, DoomCannon, Natalie Williams, Emma Smith, Georgia Cécile, Vula Malinga, Vanessa Haynes, Tony Momrelle, Tawiah, Elisabeth Troy, the Ronnie Scott's Classical All Stars and the new Ronnie Scott's Gospel Choir."
"As well as the new venue upstairs, Ronnie Scott's will also be opening The Greene Rooms, a 'club within a club' featuring a members' lounge and artist area, giving the public access to backstage spaces for the first time ever. Speaking about the club's transformation, Managing Director Fred Nash says: "With Upstairs at Ronnie's, we set ourselves the somewhat audacious goal of creating the greatest small live music venue in the world."
Upstairs at Ronnie's will occupy the first floor as a purpose-designed 140-capacity auditorium with new interior, improved acoustics, an upgraded stage, high-spec Yamaha and D&B Audio sound and lighting, and a Yamaha S3X Grand Piano. A kitchen will be led by executive chef Steven Connolly. Programming will mirror the downstairs club with jazz and genre-crossing performances, a Late Late Show for emerging talent, and accessible ticket prices. The space opens in February 2026 with a diverse lineup. The Greene Rooms will provide a members' lounge and artist area, granting public access to backstage spaces.
