Soulwax are hosting Abbey Road Studio's first-ever rave
"If you only go to one rave in the place where they record Star Wars soundtracks, while dancing to 2manydjs & friends on DEEWEE's mad new soundsystem, spinning Soulwax music recorded just the day before in Studio Two and immediately cut to vinyl in-house...make it this one."
"It's hard to say whether we have a perverse or healthy attraction to crazy ideas - that's for others to decide,"
"But being approached with a crazy idea by the most iconic recording studio in music history makes it impossible to refuse. We embrace the challenge and sincerely hope this won't be the last rave at Abbey Road."
"Studio One has been home to countless era-defining firsts - from Elgar to John Williams - and opening it to bold new forms of creativity feels both true to our heritage and excitingly audacious."
Soulwax will host Abbey Road Studios' first-ever rave on February 21 from 8 PM to 1 AM, limited to 300 attendees reachable via a hotline at +447886072699. The event will feature a Soulwax session recorded the day before in Studio Two, immediately cut to vinyl in-house, and a set by Stephen and David Dewaele's alter egos 2ManyDJs. The night will debut the DEEWEE Sound System, modeled on the Paradise Garage speaker array. Additional special guests are to be announced. Studio One will open to creative new uses aligned with the studio's heritage. Soulwax released All Systems Are Lying last year.
