Wednesday announce new album Bleeds, share "Wound Up Here (By Holdin On)"
Briefly

Wednesday's new album, 'Bleeds,' is set to debut on September 19 through Dead Oceans. Alongside the announcement, the band released a new single, 'Wound Up Here (By Holdin On).' This album follows their critically acclaimed 2023 release and is described by vocalist Karly Hartzman as a clear reflection of their musical evolution. 'Wound Up Here' draws inspiration from a friend's haunting story about a tragic drowning incident, showcasing Hartzman's poignant lyricism. Additionally, the band will embark on a North American tour starting October 9, following festival performances.
"Bleeds is the spiritual successor to Rat Saw God, and I think the quintessential 'Wednesday Creek Rock' album. This is what Wednesday songs are supposed to sound like."
"Wound Up Here (By Holdin On) is inspired by a story my friend told me, from when he had to pull a body out of a creek in West Virginia."
